Wow!!! Silence is contagious in moment like these!!
I just got back to school after a great show in Burlington, a greater show
in Albany, and finally last night's Binghampton show. I've been to a
couplh dozen shows, and last Broome County is the hottest venue I've EVER
seen/heard. Sooo many thing to mention- It's obvious how much Phish digs
playing at this rather small (1000 seats) theater. rTrey even lectured the
audience for ten minutes on sound waves and other bullshit(I you like
low-end, stand next to a wall) At leat I learned something new.
Smokin Runaway Jim to open the show. I was in the fifth row for the first
set and I could tell the energy was higher then ever.
Foam was a fusion rock jamboree into a heavy Glide (I'm glad I'm alive)
I won't bore everyone with all of my observation, but rahter with a few of
the witty lines by the band. Page was wearing a new black and white
vertically striped shirt, and Trey announces to the audience"Tonight's
referee - Page McConnell" At which time Page stood up and gave the signal
for a touchdown. Before the Seven-beats-per-second-Life-force-Energy Jam,
Fishman said"If this works right, your balls are going to shake!!" I'm
not sure how they decided that seven beats per second is the life-force,
but in general the thing that Trey was trying to express was the
incredible dynamics of the acoustics in the theater. WOW!!
For the second set, I was right in the front row, I was able to watch Trey
and Mike lay on their backs and tilt their heads backwards to see the
audience upside-down. The smaoke and the lights during Weekapaug Groove
were HOT! Soo much else I could rave about this show!! It is a show to be
reckoned with. Seriously, I thought it was better than NYE or Amy's Farm
(maybe not as fun, but higher energy)

Anyone, please, please, please, please let me know if you have a good taee
of this show. They also played Weigh, one of my favorite tunes. anyway,
enough babbling for now. See ya at Port Chestah!!

peace, Seth
"I'd like to take all of your friends, and shove them into a small
swimming pool, just so that I could weigh them! Whaddaya say?"
