Hello all. This is my first review, so here we go.

I:
My Friend My Friend, Runaway Jim, Billy Breathes, Sloth, NICU, Sample In A
Jar, Theme From the Bottom, Bouncin Around the Room, Character Zero

II:
Timber Ho!, Divided Sky, Wolfman's Bro, Sparkle, Tweezer, Life On Mars,
Possum, Tweezer Reprise

E:Fire

phirst set-
MF MF-YES! A very good opener I think. The strobes during Trey's odd solo
were great!!! Really set the pace for what was to follow....which
was......

Runaway Jim-Some beautiful jamming by Trey in this one. The lights were
really used to great effect coloring the audience in green and blue waves
of light.

Billy Breathes-I really like this song, but this version kinda slumped.
The sound still wasn't great and since this song is almost 100% harmonies,
they did not come off well, so It really didn't work.

Sloth-Nice and funky. It really picked things up after Billy.

NICU-I love this song (one of my favorites) and this version was awesome.
Good jamming by everyone.

Sample In a Jar-Uhhhhhhhhh! Why, Phish, why! This nearly killed the set I
thought. But what followed got me back into it.....

Theme From the Bottom-I love this tune. The jam was nothing special. It
did not really go anywhere, but I still liked to hear it.

Bouncing Around The Room-ABSOLUTELY STANDARS AS USUAL!!!!

Character Zero- Jesus, they like to play this one, don't they.! Doesn't
bother me.
They do a killer version of it. This was no exception. They really all
locked into the groove of it and it was awesome.

Set rating-7.0

END OF SET ONE

II:
Well after a half an hour 15 minute break, the boys came on and opened
w/......

Timber Ho!-Oh yes!!!!! Very supreme indeed. Fishman and the Santana
percussionist (sorry, i forgot his name) really worked together well in
this. Cool. The first highlight of the night.

Divided Sky-AMAZING!!!! Had me on my feet for the whole twenty minutes.
They all jammed out on this and it was absolutely incredible. This is
worth getting the tapes alone.

Wolfman's Bro- Very nice, jammy version. I don't particularly like this
song but this version really impressed me. Cool.

Sparkle- Oh boy!!!!! This was kinda like the "Sample" of the second set.
The boys had a nice thing goin' after DS and WB, but, to me, this nearly
ruined it.
It only lasted about five minutes cos next up was.......

Tweezer-Excellent. Trey was on his kit, supplying the extra percussion and
it rocked out for about twenty minutes, the perfect length for a Tweezer I
think.

Life On Mars-I'm indifferent about this one. It's kinda hokey. But it
worked ok, I guess.

Possum-Outstanding!!!! Trey was jumping all over the place, really getting
into it. Everybody was really stretching out and letting loose. A rip
roaring version.

Tweezer Reprise-Perfect ending. I was really hoping for this to end the
set.....and it did.
The perfect ending to a near-perfect (remember Sparkle) set.

Set rating-9.0

Encore-After stomping and clapping for nearly 5 minutes, the boys came out
and ripped into Hendrix's "Fire." Really rockin'. I was hoping for another
one since this kind of a short song, but the boys retreated into the
dressing rooms leaving us w/ an excellent show.

Overall....I give this show an 8.0. I highly recommend the show so be on
the lookout for the tapes.
Thank you and peace out,
Miles121

Hello all. This is my first review, so I'll give it a swing.

I arrived w/ my dad (I'm only 15) early for the show just to scope out
the scene. We waited around for 2 hours until the doors opened at about
6:30. This was only my second show, so I was pumped.

I:
My Friend, My Friend, Runaway Jim, Billy Breathes, Sloth, NICU, Sample
In A Jar, Theme From the Bottom, Bouncing Around The Room, Character
Zero

II:
Timber Ho!, Divided Sky, Wolfman's Brother, Sparkle, Tweezer, Life On
Mars, Possum, Tweezer Reprise

E:Fire

First Set
My Friend, My Friend: When the lights finally dimmed, I was so excited.
I was hoping for a good opener (Last year's Tampa 11-15 opener was Poor
Heart, I didn't really care for that as an opener.) They came on and
started discharging the opening gusts of MF,MF and I was not
disappointed. A really good opener I think. They were really into it. It
was a somewhat extended intro. The "ascending" part towards the end was
cool. As the strobe lights went crazy, Trey hunched over to his effects
making somewhat scary noises come from his guitar. Awesome.

Runaway Jim: Cool to hear. Trey did some really beautiful jamming in
this one.

Billy Breathes: Oh boy, talk about a flop. I knew something quiet would
be played after the intense jam Of RJ. I was hoping maybe Waste or Talk.
But I wasn't disappointed when they started to play this. The sound
still wasn't completely balanced so the harmonies sounded like crap.
People really did not like this. Flop.

Sloth: Oh Yeah!!! Thanks Phish. Really brought the crowd back into it.

NICU: Did not know what it was so I did not really pay attention :-(
Sounded good.

Sample In A Jar: Awesome. I know some people really dont like this one,
but I loved it.

Theme From The Bottom: Yeah! I was really hopin' for this one. The jam
was not to impressive, kinda one dimensional. They nailed the "from the
bottom, from the top" part though. Cool.

Bouncing Around The Room: Enough said:-(

Character Zero: Cool. They really do a phat version of this live. Trey
and actually everybody really jammed out on this one. Trey almost got
hit w/ a light stick (U know, what u used to carry around on halloween,
trick or treating) when he was announcing the 15 minute break.

By The way- The Santana percussionist, Karl Ferazzo ( I think that's his
name) was there the entire show.

After a half an hour "15 minute break", the boys came back on and
delivered a monstrous......

Second Set:
Timber Ho!-Killer. Everybody was jamming. Fish and Karl were really
hooking up on this one.

Divided Sky: IN-F*&%$@!-Credible!!!! Had to be 15-20 minutes long, or at
least it seemed like it.Awesome. Definitely the highlight of the night.

Wolfman's Brother: Damn, I was hoping they wouldn't play this one. I
really hate this song. Not a bad version though. The album version has
kind of a distinct smell of corniness, but that was not apparent in this
version.

Sparkle: I was REALLY hoping they wouldn't play this. They Played this
at Tampa last year. I knew after some thing like Sparkle some thing big
had to be waiting.

Tweezer: I was right. A cool 20 minute version. Trey was on his kit,
hitting away. Page was really the highlight in this one. He played all
of his keyboards-Organ, Clavinet, Piano, and even a little electric
piano. Cool.

Life on Mars-ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!! This one sounds a little to like
Queen. It was Ok, I guess.

Possum- The boys rocked this one out! I wasnt expecting this one at all.
Trey was having a ball jumping around and really getting into it. Seemed
like a good 7-10 minute version.(Maybe a little less.)

Tweezer Reprise: Right from Possum into the Reprise. Awesome. A great
way to end an excellent set. Incredible.

Encore
Fire: I was hoping for Esther. That was the only one I really wanted to
hear that they did not play. Fire, need I say more. Smokin'!!!!! Trey was
going buck and so was everybody else for that matter. A perfect end to a
fabulous show.

1st set-App. 55 min.
2nd set-App. 70 min.
Enc.-app 5 min.

1st set-7.0
2nd set-9.0
Average-8.0

Awesome show. The first set had me worried at the intermission. With the
exception of RJ, the jams were fairly conventional. But they opened up a
can of whoop-ass in the second set. A very recommended show.
Thanks for your time and get the tapes.
